It’s just another night, spent looking at the stars.
Just me and the moonlight, in this old abandoned park.
And I know, this silence, will follow me.
I always end up here, alone and in the cold.
Outside looking up for something that every day I’m told.
And I know my heart was built to roam.
All I want is, to catch a dream.
I’ve been running, I’ve been chasing, for years it seems.
Oh give me old night skies, with the stars aligned.
Just give me nights. I’ll be all right.
Well I left you all alone, but to you that’s just the same.
Years I’ve been looking for from where it was we came.
But I know, we left it all behind.
Now the only thing I feel, is the wind that’s at my back.
Guiding me so gently toward another sleepless night.
I don’t know.
I haven’t slept in years, and the stars just won’t come back.
I sing them lullabies, now they’re sleeping through the night.
They say you know.
All I want is, to see a dream.
I’ve been staying out and waiting, for years it seems.
Oh give me old night skies, with the stars so bright.
Just give me nights. I’ll be all right.
