Track 9: Tomorrow

I never meant to leave there,

But here I am, miles away.

They’re handing out the photos,

Of the service yesterday.

The trees they were so empty, the sky it was so gray.

But those perky little flowers were the grace on judgment day.

I don’t know what I need here,

But I know, I need, to stay.

Everything fades so quickly,

But this road, it lingers on.

The sun is shining hard today,

But tomorrow, it might be gone.

I never meant to come here,

But here it is I’ll stay.

The lake reflects the mountain,

Got me upside-down today.

Red sun it rests so softly, on the mountains in the West,

They’re made for my enjoyment, why don’t I enjoy the rest?

I don’t know how I got here,

But my breath, ain’t left, me yet.

Everything fades so quickly,

But this road, it lingers on.

The sun is shining hard today,

But tomorrow, it might be gone.

I never thought I’d get here,

But here I stand: alone today.

My breath fogs up the road now,

But I’ll keep on walking anyway.

That frozen river to my left is so silent in the snow,

But that river is still roaring it’s still roaring just below.

I don’t know where I’m going,

But my life, ain’t over yet.

Everything fades so quickly,

But this road, it lingers on.

The sun is shining hard today,

But tomorrow, it might be gone.

I’ll just keep on living today,

‘Cause tomorrow, I might be gone.
